Valance Sheets - What They Do and Should You Get Them?
Not everyone knows what a valance sheet is these days. You might not know but that is not a problem because I am going to explain how useful they are and why they might just work for you. While they have fallen out of favour with many, hotels still use them because of their practical nature.

You may have heard valance sheets also being named bed skirts and dust ruffles. They go around the bottom of the bed, i.e. from the floot to the mattress. Do you remember the last time you stayed in a hotel? Perhaps they had one but you didn't notice.

The sheet will fill the whole of the skirt of the bed. This means that there won't be a gap from the mattress to the floor. This means that dust is less likely to get under the bed. This is why they can be called dust ruffles. Less dust under the bed means that you don't have to spend so much time cleaning which is great in today's busy world. Many of the hotels have them for this reason.

Valance sheets do have another benefit also. Many of us have too much stuff in our house and no where to put it. Do you? Yes many of us do. Many of us try and create extra space by putting things under the bed. While this is a good use of space, it can look ugly. Your valance sheets will hide the mess for you. You no longer need to be embarrassed by the state under your bed.

Getting a valance sheet for the first time will make a big impact to the room. All you have to do to give your bedroom some freshing up is change the sheets. It is really easy to change to feel and the appearance of the room…no need to expensive makeovers... you just choose different sheets!

I believe that when people realise how important valance sheets are we are sure to see them in the shops again... I can't wait.
